Company named Hindraf loses licence
KUALA LUMPUR: The Companies Commission of Malaysia has revoked the licence of Syarikat Hindraf Enterprise, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal said. He said this was because the company was believed to be linked with the Hindu Rights Action Force.
"The revocation of the licence was made under the Business Registration Act 1956 because the company was found to be involved in non-business activities which could threaten national security," he said at the Media Awards Night organised by his ministry here yesterday.
